Peninsula Providore Farm is run by the Hollick and Wyett family in Currency Creek, on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia. Here Mel Hollick and Brook Wyett are committed to producing as much of their produce as possible themselves, in a sustainable and ethical manner.
The original Currency Creek farm is traditionally a lucerne hay property, however, in 2015 we purchased the adjoining property which has 9000 established olive trees on it. These trees had seen better days so it has been a big effort to turn them around. In early 2019, the opportunity arose to purchase the Nangkita Olive Grove, just down the road at Tooperang. This purchase has increased our holdings to around 17,000 trees across 7 different varieties giving us more chance of being able to produce estate grown extra virgin olive oil each and every year. Mel’s winemaking background has been the driver of the Peninsula Providore brand, ensuring attention to details produces a premium, estate grown Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) year after year.
